Tudisco's Raodmap

[edit] ok

liking working with month plan

[edit] 15 AUG

yesterday

[edit] 31 AUG

two weeks

[edit] 15 SEP

a month toward

  • find
  • slop
  • xcroll
  • chunk
  • translate
  • addlang
  • usr

addlang and slop simplified a lot, are we still on track to be chunking in end of august? cool.. and still aiming for end of september for "public" testing?

  • dodo

if we did it for two days now i could be testing with rodrigo and others this month so maybe worth it.. what harm?

else just do usr login stuff in that time..

[edit] Jason's Road Map

  1. New Nav Button (Aug. 8)
  2. Code Clean Up (Aug. 8)
  3. Document Update (Aug. 12)
  4. Add language Option in Current Duke Form (Aug. 18) note: this can be shorted alot using a simpler interface.. I just hace to present one.
  5. Printing (Aug. 22)
  6. Simple Chunk Interface (Aug. 29)

[edit] Previous Notes

Ups... what, no roadmap.. A work in progress I am afraid..

Things that need to be done before anything else.

  1. new nav button
  2. The ability to edit a document and save it. (update)
  3. document code and code clean up
  4. make twexter work offline . google gears (make compatible with adobe air? could be even better).. more to talk about here. Acually this can be added below.. as adding the features below would effect the gears part also. its a chicken or egg problem.
the little i know re: adobe air sounds good.. working with flash will be nice down the road

What we could do next.

  1. selecting and adding new languages
  2. simple work chunker
  3. printing (from interface to pdf)
  4. user registration (currently there is none)
  5. google translate text to twext
  6. making sure we can handle japaneese like text.. UTF8 good enough?, DB issues?, works in interface?
  7. Saving twext style with document, we don't currently do this.. is that necesary?
  8. embedding a twext document into another page.. even a wiki. (no need for special plugin)

We need to decide what is next.

I think printing is important. Users need to be able to register one day. Adding language equally important. Translate text to twext would blow peoples minds..

they rearranged my selection on priority:

  1. select language options (alot of work).
  2. printing.
  3. simplest chunkster
  4. google translate.
  5. user registration
i don't think we're gonna get many concurrent users until we get real easy to use, so i rearranged.. can you roughly estimate timing for these steps?
